Cavalor has reinvented its treatment for mud fever! More than 10 essential oils work together to disinfect, heal, and soothe pasterns. Cavalor MudDoc acts very quickly thanks to the unique combination of different essential oils, including aloe vera, lavender, eucalyptus, and tea tree.
Cavalor MudDoc is very versatile in the treatment of mud fever. Its antiseptic properties make the pastern an unpleasant environment for the bacteria responsible for mud fever, while its healing and analgesic properties improve the horse's well-being.
In addition, blood circulation is stimulated, allowing wounds to heal faster. Finally, the moisturizing cream will also improve skin elasticity, resulting in less scar tissue formation and faster hair regrowth. Maintaining skin elasticity is important to prevent cracking.
Cavalor MudDoc is 100% natural and contains more than 10 essential oils.

Mud fever is perhaps the most recognizable skin condition in horses. It is actually a general, nonspecific term for skin inflammations (dermatitis) occurring primarily on the horse's pastern. In severe cases, the leg can swell, and if left untreated, the condition will persist. In extreme cases, mud fever can lead to lameness.
The most visible symptoms are redness, scaling, crusting, and cracks in the pastern. Bacteria and fungi can multiply very quickly in the pasterns because they are often warm and moist.
Mud fever can have several causes. Dirt, mud, insects, and frequent washing of crevices prone to bacterial infections can all contribute. Fungal infections, scabies mites, and sunburn are also common causes. The pasterns are constantly moving when the horse is in motion, which often makes it difficult for the skin to heal.
