That was instilled in me from a very early age. More than once, I heard my mother turn to me and say, “Be honest about yourself and others. Believe in your own abilities, be ambitious, but above all, stay close to your own roots and never lose yourself in pride. Only by acting with integrity will others want to work with you. Alone, you might go faster, but together you’ll go further.” I’m still grateful to her for that.
