FiberBase Mix: the all-round muesli with fibre — and how it compares to Tradition Mix, Strucomix Original and FiberForce

Jannah Cavalor

If you’re choosing an all-round muesli, you usually want three things: a feed your horse digests well, a nutrition profile that fits the work you do, and a choice you can stick with day after day. Within the Cavalor Harmony range, FiberBase Mix is designed exactly for that: it’s an all-round muesli with fibre that works as a reliable daily feed.

In this article, we introduce each product and help you choose between our harmony feeds: Tradition Mix, FiberBase Mix, Strucomix Original and also show the difference with Fiberforce.

Meet the products

The Cavalor harmony feeds are developed for healthy horses in recreation and light work — and are also widely used by riders who simply want one dependable all-round feed.

Cavalor Tradition Mix — the all-round muesli

Tradition Mix is an all-round muesli for daily use. It’s a practical choice when you want a straightforward feed with flaked cereals and no oats, covering the horse’s daily needs.

Cavalor FiberBase Mix — the all-round muesli with fibre

FiberBase Mix is an all-round muesli with fibre, with flaked cereals and no oats.  With fiber to help meet the fibre and energy requirements. It combines a higher fibre content with moderate sugar and starch levels (about 20% ) for balanced daily nutrition.

Cavalor Strucomix Original — all-round muesli with extra fibre and digestion support

Strucomix Original is a fiber-rich all-round muesli. It contains long alfalfa fibres which stimulate chewing and provide  intestinal motility. It contains pre- and probiotics which support healthy digestion and provide the basis for natural resistance. The puffed cereals provide good absorption of nutrients and better digestion.

Tip: Strucomix Original is a muesli containing fiber, puffed cereals and herbs, making it suitable for picky eaters!

Cavalor FiberForce — high fiber with low sugar & starch

FiberForce is developed for sensitive horses. It’s a high-fibre muesli and is low in sugar (3%) and starch (5%). It provides energy from fiber and fat and supports balanced gut function, stable blood sugar/insulin levels and is safe for horses prone to metabolic disorders.

But that’s not all, FiberForce contains easily digestible extrudates and a fiber-rich blend of alfalfa, timothy and beet pulp, it supports digestion and helps reduce the risk of intestinal problems. Probiotics help maintain a healthy intestinal flora and overall gut health.

So, what to choose when?
  • If you want a classic all-round muesli: choose Tradition Mix.
  • If you want an all-round muesli with fiber: choose FiberBase Mix.
  • If you want an all-round muesli with fiber, gut support, herbs, puffed cereals: choose Strucomix Original.
  • If you have a sensitive horse or are looking for a feed low in sugar and starch: choose FiberForce.
