Cavalor FiberForce Gastro is a high-fibre muesli for horses that have a sensitive stomach. It is high in fibre to promote saliva production and neutralise gastric acid. Horses that have stomach problems often lose their appetite because eating is painful. Contains a mix of alfafa and teff pellets, beet pulp and Timothy stalks that are gentle on the stomach lining. In addition, herbs protect the stomach lining from irritation and buffers help control acid levels in the stomach, maintaining an optimal pH. FiberForce Gastro is low in sugar and starch. We added fenugreek to FiberForce Gastro, for extra flavour.

For optimal nutrition, welfare and performance, your horse needs adequate forage (spread out over several meals per day) and a constant supply of fresh drinking water. This foundation can be then supplemented with a balancer or concentrate feed as needed to meet all your horse’s nutritional requirements. Lastly, you can fine-tune your horse’s diet with supplements for specific needs. #feedasyouneed

Fortified with seaweed-derived calcium for optimal gastric support
A horse's stomach produces gastric acid 24/7. The horse's stomach is very prone to developing minor wounds or ulcers. The buffers and herbal mix ensure a healthy environment in the stomach. Buffers neutralise excess gastric acid and help control its production, maintaining a neutral pH in the stomach. The herbal mix boosts saliva production and protects the stomach lining from irritation.
Low in sugar & starch, ideal for sensitive horses
Some horses benefit from a diet low in sugar and starch. This applies, for example, to horses that suffer from recurring gastrointestinal problems, like stomach ulcers, colic and diarrhoea. Horses with metabolic problems such as: insulin dysregulation, obesity, laminitis, EMS, and muscle diseases (PSSM, RER). A low-sugar, low-starch feed avoids high peaks in blood glucose and insulin level, so it can also be used for horses that are susceptible to e.g. stress and overweight.
With soft long stem fiber from timothy hay
Horses with gastric ulcers have a sensitive stomach lining. Long fibres can irritate the stomach lining and cause the horse to stop eating. Timothy-grass fibres are gentle on the stomach lining, avoiding gastric irritation.
High in fiber
High in fibre, also known as crude fibre. Crude fibre is an indispensable pacesetter for the intestines and allows for a gradual release of energy. Moreover, a mix of high-quality and easily digestible fibre results in improved digestion and avoids gastrointestinal problems. The more fibre the feed contains, the longer the horse has to chew, which also increases saliva production. The intestinal micro-organisms also need crude fibre. Getting enough fibre is an essential part of maintaining healthy microflora. A healthy gut results in a healthy immune system – a basic requirement for a fit and happy horse.
