More about this product

Cavalor FiberForce Gastro is a high-fiber muesli for horses that have a sensitive stomach. It is high in fiber to promote saliva production and neutralize gastric acid. Horses that have stomach problems often lose their appetite because eating is painful. Contains a mix of alfafa and timothy pellets, beet pulp and Timothy stalks that are gentle on the stomach lining. In addition, herbs protect the stomach lining from irritation and buffers help control acid levels in the stomach, maintaining an optimal pH. FiberForce Gastro is low in sugar and starch. We added fenugreek to FiberForce Gastro, for extra flavor.

For optimal nutrition, welfare and performance, your horse needs adequate forage (spread out over several meals per day) and a constant supply of fresh drinking water. This foundation can be then supplemented with a balancer or concentrate feed as needed to meet all your horse’s nutritional requirements. Lastly, you can fine-tune your horse’s diet with supplements for specific needs. #feedasyouneed

Tips:

  • For optimal support of stomach health, feed Cavalor Fiberforce Gastro prior feeding other concentrates or before stressful events such as heavy exercise or transport.
  • Divide the feed over several portions per day, preferably after feeding forage. Always provide free access to clean, fresh water and a source of salt.
  • Not all feed scoops are the same size. Weigh the contents of your feed scoop so that you know exactly how much your horse is being fed.
  • If additional vitamin, mineral, protein or fat fortification is needed, check out our Cavalor balancer products or contact us for advice.

Fortified with seaweed-derived calcium for optimal gastric support
A horse's stomach produces gastric acid 24/7. The horse's stomach is very prone to developing minor wounds or ulcers. The buffers and herbal mix ensure a healthy environment in the stomach. Buffers neutralize excess gastric acid and help control its production, maintaining a neutral pH in the stomach. The herbal mix boosts saliva production and protects the stomach lining from irritation.

Low in sugar & starch, ideal for sensitive horses
Some horses benefit from a diet low in sugar and starch. This applies, for example, to horses that suffer from recurring gastrointestinal problems, like stomach ulcers, colic and diarrhea. Horses with metabolic problems such as: insulin dysregulation, obesity, laminitis, EMS, and muscle diseases (PSSM, RER). A low-sugar, low-starch feed avoids high peaks in blood glucose and insulin level, so it can also be used for horses that are susceptible to e.g. stress and overweight.

With soft long stem fiber from timothy hay
Horses with gastric ulcers have a sensitive stomach lining. Long fibers can irritate the stomach lining and cause the horse to stop eating. Timothy-grass fibers are gentle on the stomach lining, avoiding gastric irritation.

High in fiber
High in fiber, also known as crude fiber. Crude fiber is an indispensable pacesetter for the intestines and allows for a gradual release of energy. Moreover, a mix of high-quality and easily digestible fiber results in improved digestion and avoids gastrointestinal problems. The more fiber the feed contains, the longer the horse has to chew, which also increases saliva production. The intestinal micro-organisms also need crude fiber. Getting enough fiber is an essential part of maintaining healthy microflora. A healthy gut results in a healthy immune system – a basic requirement for a fit and happy horse.

The solution for sensitive guts
I’d like to congratulate you on your Fiberforce feed. My horse was very ill and had lost a lot of weight. He’s also very prone to stomach ulcers, so I was looking for an easily digestible feed. I’ve been feeding my horse Cavalor Fiberforce for about a month now and it’s really helped him!
Mieke
No more problems or sweet itch
After trying different feeds, I’ve finally found the right one for my Shetland mare, Annie. I was really worried about her last year, but after changing her management (grazing muzzle and a handful of Fiberforce per day), she’s like a completely different pony!
Charlotte De Beule
It’s perfect for a laid-back leisure horse!
My horse has always been a bit lazy more power would be nice. Before I started giving her Cavalor Perfomix, I had to use a lot of leg but I still didn’t manage to get her going forwards. I noticed a big difference even after just a few days and half a scoop of the feed.
Charlotte De Beule
A mane to be proud of!
My Friesian's mane is 160 cm long. I care for it with Star Shine to let my superstar shine at every competition, where I always hear lots of “oh’s” and “wow’s” from the spectators.
Ria Hermans
The ultimate cool-down
I’ve recently been treating my pony with Cavalor Muscle Cooler following intensive training. There’s no doubt that his muscles are less stiff than they used to be after a hard training session. Hot tendons and muscles return to normal body temperature much faster after using the Muscle Cooler.
Marlotte Kaldenberg
The results are incredible!
I was looking for a feed for my 17-year-old mare who needs a low-sugar diet, as she is unable to metabolise the high sugar content of other horse feeds. That’s how I came upon Cavalor Fiberforce. My horse loves this mix and hasn’t had any excess muscle acidity since I started feeding it!
