Cavalor Silhouette is a high-fibre muesli for plain breeds, easy keepers and horses that are prone to rapid weight gain. It supplies all the essential nutrients, including protein, vitamins and minerals. Low in sugar (5%) and starch (6%), it gives the horse energy from fibre. It also contains easily digestible proteins with an amino acid profile that is very similar to the horse’s own muscles. This helps the horse retain muscle while reaching a healthy weight.
Healthy weight
Helps plain breeds or horses that gain weight quickly to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. As long as the energy intake is in balance with the energy needs, a horse will not put on weight. By reducing carbohydrate intake (=energy) while maintaining the same amount of proteins, minerals and vitamins, the horse will reach a healthy weight.
Supports muscle mass
Contains high-quality, easily digestible proteins with an amino acid profile that is very similar to the horse’s own muscular proteins. This helps the horse retain muscle while reaching a healthy weight.
Low sugar and starch
Some horses benefit from a diet low in sugar and starch. This applies, for example, to horses that suffer from recurring gastrointestinal problems, like stomach ulcers, colic and diarrhoea. Horses with metabolic problems such as: insulin dysregulation, obesity, laminitis, EMS, and muscle diseases (PSSM, RER). A low-sugar, low-starch feed avoids high peaks in blood glucose and insulin level, so it can also be used for horses that are susceptible to e.g. stress and overweight.
Extra fibers
Adding long fibre means that the horse has to chew for longer and increases saliva production. Saliva is not the only benefit of chewing longer. It also causes natural tooth wear, alleviates boredom and ensures that the feed is consumed more slowly. Long fibres also promote intestinal motility, which improves digestion.

Feed as you need
The foundation of good nutrition for your horse is adequate roughage and access to fresh drinking water. Supplement this base with concentrates or a balancer depending on the individual nutritional needs of the horse. Use supplements to fine tune.
Feeding recommendations for Cavalor Silhouette
We recommend a minimum of 150 g to maximum 250 g per 100 kg body weight per day. For a 600 kg horse this means a minimum of 900 g and a maximum of 1,5 kg per day. Divide the concentrate feed over several portions per day, preferably after feeding roughage.
