A healthy horse from the inside out

For a horse to function properly and protect itself from external influences, the body needs several biochemical systems. For example, the hormone balance in the body must be regulated and the nutrients absorbed by the digestive system must end up in the right form in the right place in order to be useful. Your horse's body also needs to be protected from viruses, bacteria and other threats. All these processes together determine your horse's resilience. The higher your horse's resistance, the less susceptible it is to infections.

Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS)

If there is a hitch somewhere, metabolic problems may arise.  Some of these problems are categorised under the umbrella term ‘Equine Metabolic Syndrome’, also known as EMS for short. The main features in this syndrome are:

  • Obesity and fat accumulation
  • Insulin resistance (IR)
  • Susceptibility to laminitis

Cavalor LaminAid can support horses with metabolic problems. Also read the following blogs on this subject:

Increasing your horse's resistance

Horses often come into contact with horses from other stables. At competitions, training sessions or other events, germs are passed on from one stable to horses from another stable. Even if you do not go out with your horse, your horse can be exposed to the bacteria and viruses that other horses bring from their stables. To prevent your horse from getting sick from this, it is important that it has sufficient resistance. You can increase your horse's resistance by adding sufficient rest periods to the training schedule. In addition, you can support your horse's resistance with various Cavalor supplements:

virgin linseed oil, soya bean oil and rapeseed oil, providing an optimal ratio of omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. Ensures a healthy intestinal flora and extra support for the immune system

The solution for sensitive guts
I’d like to congratulate you on your Fiberforce feed. My horse was very ill and had lost a lot of weight. He’s also very prone to stomach ulcers, so I was looking for an easily digestible feed. I’ve been feeding my horse Cavalor Fiberforce for about a month now and it’s really helped him!

The results are incredible!
I was looking for a feed for my 17-year-old mare who needs a low-sugar diet, as she is unable to metabolise the high sugar content of other horse feeds. That’s how I came upon Cavalor Fiberforce. My horse loves this mix and hasn’t had any excess muscle acidity since I started feeding it!

The ultimate cool-down
I’ve recently been treating my pony with Cavalor Muscle Cooler following intensive training. There’s no doubt that his muscles are less stiff than they used to be after a hard training session. Hot tendons and muscles return to normal body temperature much faster after using the Muscle Cooler.

A mane to be proud of!
My Friesian's mane is 160 cm long. I care for it with Star Shine to let my superstar shine at every competition, where I always hear lots of “oh’s” and “wow’s” from the spectators.

It’s perfect for a laid-back leisure horse!
My horse has always been a bit lazy more power would be nice. Before I started giving her Cavalor Perfomix, I had to use a lot of leg but I still didn’t manage to get her going forwards. I noticed a big difference even after just a few days and half a scoop of the feed.

No more problems or sweet itch
After trying different feeds, I’ve finally found the right one for my Shetland mare, Annie. I was really worried about her last year, but after changing her management (grazing muzzle and a handful of Fiberforce per day), she’s like a completely different pony!
